Local Market Update October 2016

By Customer Care

The month of October was another busy one for the team with plenty of activity and results. One of the highlights for the month was the landlord movie night. This was a great opportunity to give back to our landlords and let them relax and enjoy a movie and popcorn on us. The movie “Keeping up with the Jones” was a great choice and well received by our landlords. The property management team was busy during October with 141 inspections, 304 tenants attending the open homes and private inspections, 84 applications processed and a great number of 19 properties let for the month. The average rent for our properties let was just under $400 per week. The team were also busy with the usual routine inspections, rent reviews and rent increases.
The sales department were extremely busy with great listing and selling numbers. The auction clearance rate according to the REIV hovered around the 80% mark for the month but our clearance rate was 100%. Sam, Belinda and Kevin all had productive months. This month we welcomed Alex to the sales department and he is settling in very well. This is the traditional busy period of the year with buyers having more choice with more stock hitting the marketplace. We are heading towards the end of the year and if you are considering either selling or leasing your property this year time is running out and you will need to take action ASAP. The market remains busy and we are achieving some great results but if you want to be part of the action this year please contact our team to get things moving.
Until next month,
